Congratulations to director Ariane Labed on the selection of her brilliant short film Olla into the Cannes Film Festival 2019 - Directors Fortnight - World premiere
Olla arrives in the suburbs of a small town in France. She comes to live with Pierre, whom she met on a dating site for women from the east. Olla is a foreigner, she does not speak the same language as Pierre and they communicate with difficulty. Pierre has been living alone with his old, sick mother whom he looks after. Olla will try to take the place that Pierre made for her but soon, she will realize that this life is not made for her. She aspires to total freedom.
